Learning Target: SWBAT Analyze how sentences, chapters, or scenes fit into the overall structure of a text and contribute to the development of the theme.
Success Criteria: I can explain how specific parts of a text help to contribute to the theme of the text.
Activity: Using a Gradual Release of Responsibility students will complete the independent practice of Lesson 16in their Iready Books.

7th Grade -Analyzing Point of View

Learning Target: SWBAT Analyze the techniques the author uses to develop the characters' and narrator's point of view and contrast the POV of different story characters and the narrator.
Success Criteria: I can determine the POV of different characters and the narrator in a story and provide evidence that supports my thinking.
