6th Grade -Analyzing the Structure of a Poem

Learning Target: SWBAT Analyze how lines and stanzas fit into the overall structure of a poem and contribute to the development of the theme.
Success Criteria: I can analyze lines and stanzas in order to determine the main idea of each stanza and the overall theme or central message of the poem.
Activity:Using a Gradual Release of Responsibility students will complete the independent practice of Lesson 15 in their Iready Books.


7th Grade - Analyzing the Structure of Drama
