Standards: ELAGSE7RI5
Learning Target: SWBAT Analyze how major sections of an informational text fit into the overall structure and contribute to the development of the central ideas.
Success Criteria: I can determine the structure of a part of the text and explain the purpose as it relates to the central idea.
Activity: Using a Gradual Release model students will complete Lesson 10 of their Iready Workbooks.

6th Grade: Analyzing Text Structure

Learning Target: SWBAT Analyze how a particular sentence, paragraph, chapter, or section firts into the overall structure of a text and contributes to the development of the text's central idea.
Success Criteria: I can determine the structure of a part of the text and explain the purpose as it relates to the central idea.

8th Grade: Analysing the Structure of Paragraphs

Learning Target: SWBAT Analyze the structure of individual paragraphs in an informational text. Determine the function of particular sentences within a paragraph in developing a key concept about a topic in informational text.
