Meet Mrs. Anderson
Hello, I am Lea Anderson. I have taught school for 34 years. I began my teaching career in Dunnellon, Florida, but moved back to my hometown of Brunswick, GA and began teaching at C.B. Greer where I worked for 20 years teaching 2nd and 5th grades. I then transferred to Jane Macon Middle School where I taught 6th grade Language Arts for 12 years. I retired December 2019, but quickly found out that retirement was not for me. I then returned to the school system as a part time ESOL teacher working at Altama Elementary School for the year 2020-2021 and then C.B. Greer for 2021-2022. Completing a circle, I am back at Jane Macon Middle School as a part time ESOL teacher.
I have been married for 35 years and have raised two children who are both married. Our daughter is a high school math teacher, and our son is an electrician. Through my children's marriages, I inherited 3 grandchildren from their spouses previous marriages. My son and his wife were blessed with a daughter in 2022, and now my daughter and son-in-law are expecting a baby in April of 2024- that gives me 5 grandchildren that I will adore.
We have a dog named Jake. He is a large dog but thinks he is a baby.
We live out in the country, and the feral cats we have accumulated and cared for over the years came with us. They all live outside - they keep the critters away!
I love to read, historical fiction is my favorite, and I also love to spend time with my family and friends, because I like to laugh and have fun.
